On nature trips I take the 12-24, 24-105 and 100-400.

On travel trips I take the 16-35, 24-105, and the 70-300, sometimes the 12-24 as well

For local street shooting, especially at night, the 35 f1.8 and the 85 f1.8

I know that there are some amazing f1.4 lenses around, but they weigh over twice as much as the f1.8’s. Same is true for the zooms. The f2.8 zooms are much heavier than the f4’s and given the great sensors and noise processing software, it is not worth hauling around all that extra weight, not to mention the added cost.
